So, we put our cat of ten years down last night.

He had cancer.

The first tumour appeared last August after our vacation and we had it removed that September. Then another one grew and we couldn't get it removed, but getting the first one removed gave us a year and two months more with him.

The vet came into our house and my sister and I held the cat and told him we loved him over and over; we let him know he was a good cat and that God needed him more than we did.

He died at around 9:30 p.m; he stopped breathing, and then his heart stopped.

It was peaceful. He died in the same blanket we carried him home in when we got him as a 5-week old kitten in 1998. I think he knew we loved him as much as we could..

I hope he knows.
